Think About It
October 14th, 2024
Think about it. Why do so many church goers support the supposed “justice” of “My body, my choice”? What have we missed in their thought processes? They read the Bible, take the word justice, and apply it to what they are told to by the formerly “mainstream” media. As the slogan says, it’s my body and my choice. They forget at least two things. First, they conveniently ignore that a brand new and ...
Forgiveness for What?
August 26th, 2024
Forgiveness for What Reasons?Jim Freudenstein, 8-23-2024, 832-654-7791, jfreud1953@gmail.comJesus said on the cross, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Stephen, while being stoned prayed the same prayer. What prayer does Satan hate more? What is the impact, purpose, and result of such a prayer? As a witness to the one whom we call Savior and Lord, we pray for forgiveness. How wi...
What happened to the church?

What Happened to the Church Here, Now?Jim Freudenstein, 7-23-’24, 832-654-7791, jfreud1953@gmail.comJeremiah 23:16-29 describes our predicament today precisely.Verse 17 says “They (the current prophets) say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord, ‘It shall be well with you’; & to everyone who follows his own heart, they say, ‘No disaster shall come upon you.’” Verse 22, “But if they...
Why Is Sin so Prevalent?
August 12th, 2024
Am I saved? Am I headed to heaven? Am I born again? Do I really believe the Bible? Why does sinning seem so easy at times? Why does prayer seem like a task and the heavens seem like brass? Why does my awareness of God’s Word seem so unwelcome in supposedly Christian circles? Why? How did this come about?God grant us answers! God grant us tender hearts! God grant us hungry minds! God grant us lives,...

“God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9b

At the heart of Lutherans For Life is Good News -- Good News that brings hope to a culture so focused on death:
  • Abortion destroys nearly 3,000 children every day.
  • Imposed death through assisted suicide and euthanasia threatens to destroy our elderly and disabled with or without their permission.
  • Bio-technologies such as embryonic stem cell research, cloning, in vitro fertilization, and genetic manipulation can challenge God's Authorship and Lordship of life.
Lutherans need to...
  • Take a stand with God's Word of Law and call wrong things wrong.
  • Share God's Word of Gospel, the Good News of life in Jesus, so people will know they have someone they can trust in every situation -- someone to turn to for hope and healing when mistakes are made.
Lutherans For Life...
  • Applies God's Word, both His Law and His Gospel, to all the life issues -- abortion, chastity, assisted suicide and euthanasia, and bio-technology.
  • Assists For Life Christians in offering the hope and help of the Good News of Jesus Christ to women with an untimely pregnancy; women, men, and families suffering under the guilt of an abortion; young people with questions and concerns about sexuality; and the elderly and those with disabilities or terminal illnesses.
  • Believes God gives the gift of life to all people -- from the moment of conception until natural death.

“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

Texas Rally for Life

Once a year in January, we march around the Capitol in Austin, Texas, to be a voice for the innocent lives that have no voice. We listen to speakers' firsthand accounts of survival, stories of grief, redemption, and from those who make a difference in government and society providing valuable resources for women, children, and their families. We sing, we pray, and we come away inspired by the Holy Spirit to defend our most basic right, LIFE.
This rally is organized by Texas Right to Life, who keeps us informed about legislation specific to Texas.

Blue Buses

We support the Houston Coalition For Life, whose Blue Buses bring hope and support to women in crisis pregnancy. Much of our fund-raising efforts go to providing medical services, counseling, classes, baby blankets, diapers, food, and household needs for these families. Building a network of organizations devoted to saving lives is crucial in a big city community as diverse as Houston.

Stand & Pray

We at HLFL will Stand & Pray in front of the Planned Parenthood on Gulf Freeway.
Our devotion to standing in public and peacefully praying for an end to abortion has saved hundreds of babies and mothers, as well as leading abortion workers from their jobs to close numerous abortion facilities. We pray because God's gift of life to people is precious in His sight, in all stages -- from womb to tomb.
Your life is valuable.
If you're struggling with this today here's a
 Word of Hope.
